all about the toys
Buy fewer, buy better, and care for them like the instruments they are.
The same philosophy that governs your wardrobe governs this drawer: material first, provenance second, quantity last. A small collection of excellent objects outperforms a large collection of regrettable ones — in every domain we can think of. and don’t be afraid to bring your collection with you! we will have our own toys to share, but we’d love to see what special gadgets you bring with.
Materials. Body-safe means non-porous: 100% platinum-cured silicone, borosilicate glass, stainless steel. Porous materials — jelly, rubber, anything mysteriously soft and faintly scented — cannot be fully sanitized and do not belong near you. If a product will not name its material, it has named its quality.
At VLVT events. Personal items are welcome within the space: anything used with a partner is negotiated in words first, like every other touch, and our hosts can answer any question about what an evening's format accommodates. Discretion in transport is appreciated — a velvet pouch, naturally. We will have toys available to try and use , alongside with everything your imagination might handle.
Self-care, the unglamorous kind. The evening after the evening matters: water, warmth, unhurried sleep, and a check-in with anyone you shared the night with — a single message the next day is the cheapest elegance available. Intensity, even joyful intensity, has a comedown; experienced members plan for it the way they plan their outfit.
